How to Change your Email Password

At WebWorks89 we take security seriously. For that reason, customers using our email system are required to use secure passwords to access their accounts. The following steps will walk you through how to change your email password to make it more secure. Change your password in webmail before updating your Outlook, Android or iOS passwords.

WebWorks89 Password Policy

Passwords must be a minimum of eight characters in length and must include at least one of each of the of the following: an uppercase letter, a lower case letter, a numeral, and a symbol (! @ # $, etc.) We recommend not using personal information in your password, like your birth date or phone number. Do not use “password” or series of letters or numbers like “12345” or “abcde”.

Here are the steps that you will need to take to update your email password:

Webmail Password Change (CHANGE THIS FIRST)

1. Login to your webmail at webmail.cfwebmasters.com.

2. On the left hand side of the screen, select “Settings” (gear icon).

3. Enter a new password that complies with the new password policy.

4. Re-enter the password in the “Confirm Password” box and click “Save” at the top.

Outlook Password Change

1. Go to “Account Settings.”

2. Double click on the email account you wish to change.

3. Enter the new password in the correct box under “Logon Information” and click “Next.”

Android Password Change (if you access your email on your Android phone)

1. Go to “Settings.”

2. Select “Accounts & sync.”

3. Under “Accounts,” select the correct email account.

4. On the next screen, select “Email Settings.”

5. On the next screen, under “Accounts,” select the correct email account.

6. Scroll down and select “Incoming Server Settings.”

7. Under “Password,” enter the new password and tap “Save.”

8. Select “Outgoing Server Settings.”

9. Under “Password,” enter the new password and tap “Save.”

iOS Password Change (if you access your email on your iPhone)

1. Go to “Settings.”

2. Select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars.”

3. Select the correct email account.

4. Enter your new password in the “INCOMING MAIL SERVER” section.

5. In the “OUTGOING MAIL SERVER” section select “SMTP.”

6. Select the server listed under “PRIMARY SERVER.”

7. On the next screen, enter your new password and select “Done.”

8. Select the account name in the top left hand corner to go back.

9. Select “Done.”
